Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer v1.2
As part of Microsoft's Strategic Technology Protection Program, and in response to direct customer need for a streamlined method of identifying common security misconfigurations, Microsoft has release a new version of the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA).
Microsoft released a new version today. And I'm impressed with the changes.
They added better support for checking realtime security updates instead of using a local catalog, and it now properly tests for Office security updates and macros as well, just to name a few things that its doing better.
You can download it for free, and you should give it a try if you haven't yet.
Good job Microsoft.
