My brain hurts. I just watched Matrix Revolution

I need aspirin. Or a stiff drink. Just came back from seeing Matrix Revolutions with Arcterex and the gang, and I now have more questions then I did going into it from Matrix Reloaded. *sigh*

I won't spoil it, as its an experience unto itself. (Although I am NOT happy with how this ended. Or did it end? Am I in a matrix thinking I just saw this movie, or did I actually see it. Oh I need another drink)

Foz pointed out an EXCELLENT script that made me chuckle, and also helped to sooth the pain beating against my brain. I suggest you read it AFTER you see the movie. Makes it that much more funny.

And just for Neil, I decided to dig up and re-read Matrix Reloaded Explained after seeing the 'final' (or is it) installment of this story line. I found it quite interesting to see how many parallels matched up. Go see for yourself. Its uncanny.

All and all, I need to go lie down. I have a headache trying to understand what the hell I just watched. After falling through some HUGE plotholes (pssst... if you can have EMP on a ship, why can't you have tonnes of them in yer home base?), I realized Animatrix had more meaning to me than I thought. (Hmm, just thought of something interesting after reading the funny script.... why DIDN'T we use EMP pulses to kill all the machines instead of causing a nuclear winter that would cause Earth's destruction?)

All I can say is that the Matrix is now out of my system. I await redemption on December 17th when the king returns.

Thanks for the link Dana! I'm sure my brain will resume the "hurt" it had last night after another reading

Yea, I remember linking to that page after reloaded came out and getting quite excited about revolutions, just to see how accurate he was :)

Well,... at least they can't do EMP twice since it will cause all machine stop working, isn't it? I think it's like a suicide bomb.

Tonight I watched Revolutions in IMAX. IF you want to see something hideous, how about a 5 story high close-up of the train master? The big screen definetly gives justice to the outdoor and indoor bigroom scenes.

There were a lot of poor reviews about Reloaded and Revolutions. But I think that those who go in expecting everything to "fall into place" are definetly going to feel unsatisfied. My perspective is that just like the original Matrix "got away" with introducing a slew of new effects, they also got liberty to leave other things unanswered. The movie is full of humans trying to understand a plot/plan... how are we supposed to know? does anyone know? why do we want to know? why do we ask why?

I think that if you try to correlate the Matrix's story with certain religions or other movies you've seen or books you've read, you'll blow a brain gasket. Your best bet is to ignore the extra thinking, ignore the fact that old equipment is being powered by new computers, ignore the electricty shorts all over the place... and like you say, go see it yourself and enjoy it :-)

So how do the designer shades correlate to the bandage over Neo's eyes? Did the shades have a purpose? It does make you think!
