July 02, 2003I am so proud to be Canadian!In case you haven't heard, we just won the 2010 Olympic bid. The winter olympics are coming to BC! I was in Calgary and saw the awesome conversion that the 88 Olympics did for them. The city has grown in beauty and usefulness because of everything the games brought. Canada Olympic Park (COP) is an amazing facility. Imagine a 15 minute car ride to a ski hill on the edge of the city to play on. Or luge. Or ski jump. Just awesome. Watching the Vancouver video, I became teary eyed. I don't normally get emotional... but I was so PROUD to be a Canadian at that moment I didn't care. Congratulations to the 2010 bid committee.
